The Yoga and meditation classes I run in Balham are fantastic practices to get out of the mind and become embodied. When we are fully in touch with our bodies we are more connected to our inner wisdom or intuition.
I teach a mindfulness based practice which grounds and centres the body and cultivates deeper awareness. In this state, the mind becomes quieter and is less impacted by thought so that it can fully connect to the body and the breath without judgement or expectation.

Pregnancy yoga is a great way to relax the body and mind during pregnancy and to prepare for birth. Flowing movements with breathwork combined with restorative postures encourage awareness and acceptance throughout this time of change.
Relaxation techniques including mindfulness and hypnobirthing exercises, focus on nourishing and connecting with yourself as well as bonding with your baby.

These classes allow you to progress at your own pace in a supportive environment. They include flowing sequences incorporating breath with movement with an emphasis on alignment.

Yin/Restorative Yoga Workshop
A deep, slow, floor based practice using props to unfold the body. Visualisation, Meditation and Breath practices are incorporated to allow the mind to become peaceful and the body to release tension.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Louise to both beginners and more experienced students.
I took up yoga after some health issues and was really worried that I might not be strong enough to cope with the practice. I was looking for a teacher who could help me become confident in my body again after years of dealing with pain and illness. Louise has been a fantastic teacher.
She has really listened to me and each session has been adapted to how I feel and what I want to achieve. The 8 months that we have been working together have seen me achieve fantastic results. I am fitter than I have been for at least a decade and more importantly I feel comfortable and confident in my body again. I really look forward to our classes both for the yoga practice and to spend time with Louise as she has been such an encouraging and supportive teacher.
I thoroughly enjoyed all my lessons and experienced very little discomfort throughout my entire pregnancy.
During my pregnancy I felt it was important to take some time for myself. I decided pregnancy yoga would be a good way of both relaxing me & helping prepare my body for labour. I booked an series of individual lessons with Louise as I wanted to go at my own pace & then signed up for the group classes. I would recommend Louise to anyone expecting.
At last I feel I have finally found a yoga teacher in Balham who offers variety, excitement, challenges and a personal touch that leaves me buzzing after every session.
She is wonderfully calming, soothing and a brilliant teacher.
I have been going to Louise for yoga for over a year, for a weekly class, as well as cooking classes and retreats.
